Alt's Antiques is a very special place in Milwaukee. After 14 years of rummaging and selling his interesting findings, Michael Alt opened his own shop in December 2012. One of the only non-consignment shops in the area, every piece found by Michael is somewhat of a reflection of the heart and soul of Alt's Antiques.
In early discussions of Michael opening his own business, we took a look at who he was from a personal perspective, and analyzed his characteristics. Through self-evaluation, we realized he was perfectly represented by a raccoon: sly, somewhat mischievous, and a collector of what others discard. The typography was inspired by his Czech and Russian roots, whereabout his family originates.
